History of the space A 3,000 square foot media production facility adjacent to the San Francisco Bay in Richmond, CA. Built in the late 1970s, the studio has had two major retrofits: first in the '90s with the Studio A build-out and then again in 2011 with a state of the art digital integration. Logistics Featuring two control rooms, one of the largest and best-sounding live rooms in the Bay Area, several auxiliary and isolation rooms, a listening lounge, and a full kitchen. In addition to an airy and inviting floor-plan, the ability to bring in natural air and light allows the peaceful surroundings of the bay to fill the studio with character—the perfect environment for focused creativity. Uses Perfect for recording projects, photo and video shoots, live concerts and media presentations and special engagements. Our specially designed rooms, unique open spaces, and architecturally appealing designs work well as the perfect environment for your next project or event. The live room is over 850 square feet and features vaulted ceilings and can fit between 50-75 people comfortably depending on room configuration. See pictures. Studio A, once Metallica's private rehearsal space, is a marvel of room design - form meets function. See pictures. Studio B, the original control room, hovers above the large open live room looking down on the action from the second floor. See pictures. Auxiliary rooms - from a full kitchen upstairs, to a bar and mini lounge downstairs, our auxiliary rooms provide more intimate ambiance for recordings and video capture. Located adjacent to the Bay Trial, wrap-around views of the bay and access to parks, meadows, and trails are less than a five minute's walk away.
