Award Winning Design, Modern Minimalist Guest House in Lush Urban Garden: KBOX

KBOX is a compact, sleek, modern guest house with a primarily white interior and warm cork flooring situated in a lush garden setting that captures views of the downtown skyline and ASU's downtown campus buildings through the trees. An outdoor fire pit and wood deck become exterior extensions of the living space. The interior is configured as a single long volume that is approximately 32' long and 8' wide containing a living area, dining and kitchen area and bathroom volume. KBOX has been used professionally mainly for interviews and lifestyle photography and video shoots. Sitting at the dining table oriented in almost any direction provides a warm, crisp modern setting with generous light and lush green vegetation in the background. An outdoor scene on the south side of the KBOX guest house is comprised of a 6' tall wall of firewood, an outdoor modern fireplace, and adirondack chairs. Directly west of the KBOX is a 8'x30' deck with a dining table and chairs tucked under the mature canopy of a Chilean Mesquite tree. The interior space of KBOX is approximately 320sf. The exterior space is approximately 1100sf.
