Velvet Mountain Seclusion Vintage & Backdrops in the Morongo Valley Desert

Secluded Desert Valley Property in Morongo, 1.5 miles down a dirt road surrounded by 100s of acres of BLM Mountains with Joshua Trees and Cholla cacti throughout. A two-hour drive from LA and situated on the border of Yucca Valley. Ten minutes from the Frontier Coffeeshop. Picturesque, private, and uninterrupted backdrops in nature. The ultimate desert film and photoshoot backdrop, complete with privacy and wind protection due to the approx. 350ft high mountain peaks that surround the entire valley on both sides, including the 1.5-mile stretch of dirt road on the approach to the property. It means that no matter where you point the camera, the whole backdrop of your shot will be a desert mountain draped with beautiful Joshua Trees and Cholla cacti as far as the eye can see. There are excellent vantage points to capture the entire valley from two 80 sq ft graded platforms, accessed on foot or by a 4x4 vehicle via a 200-meter-long dirt road with a gentle incline. There is also an excellent vantage point from the opposite hill accessed via a steep dirt road, which can be walked or driven by off-roading vehicles. There are spectacular views all across the top of the mountain ridges on the hundreds and hundreds of 'Bureau of Land Management properties that hug the entire property, meaning there is seemingly endless acreage of raw natural and open desert land for your shots. 2 vintage trailers on site can be filmed: Velvet Fontaine - 1969 Kencraft, 28ft (very colorful and photogenic interior, orange & light blue) Spartan Neva - 1955 Spartan Imperial Mansion, Silver, 43ft The convenient positioning of the parking in the neighbor's fenced property, and on the higher-graded platform also mean that your cars will be hidden from your shots of the property and the immediate backdrop. They won't be visible on the higher platform, and then the neighbor's parking area is conveniently located 100 meters away and is partially covered by trees. The very private and quiet property has one dirt road that runs through it. This is a public dirt road that has approximately 5 cars driving through the property per day. For convenient additional styles of shot by arrangement - at the beginning of the 1.5-mile dirt road there is an old small ruin where an old house used to be on BLM land towards the right side of the dirt road, far from any other structures. Additionally, if you walked to the very top of the ridge on the 29 Palms Hwy side (or accessed it by car directly from the highway) you would also be able to shoot at my neighbor’s old scrap yard with old speedboats and burned-out cars/derelict building with smashed windows/construction yard and Mechanic shop that has approximately 50 cars parked in the fenced yard. This can be found at the top of the ridge adjacent to my property but is not visible from my property down in the valley. The property is 30 minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park and 15 minutes from the infamous Pioneertown which was built as an 1880s-style film set by Hollywood legends such as Gene Autry and Roy Rogers in 1946 to provide a backdrop with 1880s-style false-front facades and interesting interiors for tourists to visit.
