Japandi design is born from the fusion of Scandi Design and the Japanese concept of ‘Wabi Sabi’. All Scandi designs are built around the notion of “Hygge”. Now fuse that idea with the Japanese concept of “Wabi Sabi” - a way of living which focuses on finding beauty within the simplicity of life. Nearby: The Wabi Sabi is in a beautiful golf community in Kemptville, and is a quick 4 mins drive from Rideau River Provincial Park. The park is located on the historic Rideau waterway and is a UNESCO world heritage site. You can go swimming in the waters of the Rideau – or you can explore them by canoe, motorboat, or by paddleboarding. Fishing is allowed as well and the waters are full of muskies and bass. On top of that, Kemptville is known for its trails (winter and summer) which make for amazing hikes and bikes. Lastly, some nearby towns and communities which you can visit and explore include Merrickville, Riverside South, Manotick, of course Ottawa (35 minutes drive from downtown Ottawa). The Interior: The interior of this place is truly one of a kind and during your stay, we promise you’ll be tucked away in absolute comfort and tranquility. It has a versatile neutral color palette and uses lots of natural textures and tones to bring a sense of minimalism while being as welcoming as ever. The Space: The place is large and spacious. There are 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a living room, dining room, a breakfast room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated workspace / office, and an entertainment room. The Rooms: Much like the rest of the home, the bedrooms carry aesthetic looks and provide just as much coziness as they do elegance. All 4 bedrooms have very comfortable beds which are sure to have you out like a light at night. Living Room: The living room is big, bright, and stylish. It allows in plenty of natural sunlight and even has a fireplace. You’ll find carefully placed decorations in the living room, ranging from hanging Japanese lamps to attractive art pieces. Dining & Breakfast rooms: Adjacent to the living room is the dining room. It has a large dining table seating eight people, so there's plenty of room for everyone during dinner. And if that's not enough, there’s also a breakfast room overlooking the backyard and the golf course. The breakfast table seats four people and makes for a truly terrific spot to enjoy your meals while gazing at the serene view. The Bonus room: On the second floor, there is a bonus entertainment room. The entertainment room has a lounge area, a giant connect-4, a foosball table, and a smart TV with Netflix and Disney +. The Den: Coming back downstairs, you’ll find the office / workstation. We’ve provided a restful desk where you can get lots of productive work or studying done. The Kitchen: Last up, the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and can handle anything from some quick morning coffee to a five-star Michelin meal – though the latter will likely require some serious culinary skill! The kitchen even has its own herb station, and coffee + tea station.
