This Meridian St. home just celebrated 100 years. Former home of Josiah Lilly, the 2-acre property hosts a historic garden from famed architect Jens Jensen, completely restored to its original garden plans, one of only a small collection of residential gardens he designed still in place. The outdoor gardens include 3 separate rose gardens, one with speciality David Austen Roses alongside the restored 100-year old pond designed by Jensen. There are over 60 crab apple trees, with blooms that last up to two weeks in the spring. If you'd like to have your photoshoot during crab apple bloom season, please reach out to schedule, as this books up quickly! This time of year also boasts the historic daffodil gardens, representative of the home's first owner Dr. Goethe Link, whose wife's Helen love for the flower is now remembered at the historic Goethe Link Observatory in Indiana. There is a dedicated space for photoshoots to change/use the restroom, set equipment, etc. *NOTE: Sq feet available: The entire property is over 2 acres, access is available only to the dedicated changing space in the carriage house and the gardens, not the main home. *NOTE: Please be aware of the season you are booking your shoot for - this will affect the flowers/plants in bloom! :)
