Cozy recording or concert space. Room has many angles and reflective surfaces great for that perfect sound, including our take on the Motown "Echo Chamber," which was basically a hole in the ceiling with strategic mic placement that created that signature Motown sound. Here we have a cupola architectural feature (i.e., a hole in the ceiling) with a structural beam allowing you to place your mic and create that same sound. The walls are foam insulated creating the perfect amount of absorption and reflection you want in a live listening room or live recording. Just check with us about the availability of certain types of mics, number of mic stands, drum kits, etc. We also have a Bose PA system. We have the maximum number of people that can sit in the space listed at 40, but this can be negotiated for live shows and depending on the weather as their is a sliding door that opens to a patio for more seating. The home is owned by a successful full-time musician and his wife (me!), so it has been created with the musician in mind. Several famous Austin performers have performed or recorded here.
