Charming MCM house with an extraordinary view of the Santa Monica Bay and Point Dume.
We are above Solstice Canyon in El Nido.
This residence was built in the 1960s - so MCM. Very low key with MCM furniture in the main family room.
Most of the living room furniture is original MCM.
Remember you are in a rural area. There are animals and insects that live close by. Sometimes, a spider may build a web or two on the house and a fly may come in the door as you walk in or if you leave the French doors open. Also, ants tend to visit when it is hot weather, they feel the need to seek shelter or there is a lot of rain.
Before you come you, may enjoy listening to a podcast about growing up in Malibu which Rob Lowe did for Pushkin that produced the “Lost Hills” podcast series. Rob Lowe says, “ It was magic, it was. You just smelled sage and eucalyptus and I remember the ants.” (3:56 min point on the podcast.) - (This said - I am happy to report it has been a quiet summer without ants so far.)
