Our small corner of the world is 12 acres of beautiful Loudoun County property with a 2-acre pond, an old silo, a corn crib, and an old barn. The property has a wide variety of flowering trees, a variety of flowers, a 30-foot-high bamboo grove, and some natural rock outcroppings on a gently rolling plain.
The "Switchman's Farmstead" was originally owned by the local train "Switchman" who turned the train around on the trestle. The original train trestle is still visible in the woods. It is conveniently located about 1 mile from a four-lane highway (Rt. 7) and just under 28 miles to Dulles International Airport (Washington, DC) or 50 miles to the world-famous Capitol Hill Rotunda and the National Mall in Washington, DC. (perfect for those wanting a destination wedding). Beautiful sunrises and great light.
Two Air BnB rentals in a cottage on the property add the possibility of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and two kitchens!
