Quintessential Portland Bungalow

Walking distance from Mississippi restaurants and bars, as well as the iconic Portland bluffs and Overlook Park, our home is an oasis just north of downtown. Designed by BrightLab Designs and landscaped by Pistils, the quintessential Portland home is bright and airy with calming blue accents throughout the home. The house is decorated with a classic mix of antique and mid-century modern, with European details and art brought with us in our move from Germany. Upon entering you’ll find yourself between the living and dining room. Both rooms are sun-drenched in the afternoon and feature large windows. The living room features a cozy wood fireplace and surrounding built-in bookshelves. Just around the corner is the open kitchen and french doors to let in morning light, and lead to the landscaped backyard and spacious deck. The kitchen is equipped with French and Dutch colorful pottery, beautiful linen textiles, brass fixtures, a gas range, and more. The first floor also has a bedroom/office and a fully updated bathroom. Upstairs has been converted to a master suite with a walk-in closet and full bath, all tucked cozily under the eaves. The finished basement includes a movie room with a large TV and cozy sitting spaces, as well as a home office. The space is dark and moody.
