Welcome to The SIS Boutique Creative Suites, a private creative studio and intimate event venue located inside a landmark 1900s church in Newport News. This historic building is so recognizable that it appears on vintage postcards, blending original character with a bright, modern interior. When you book, the space is reserved exclusively for you and your guests. There are no shared areas, competing productions or distracting crowds. Our Versatile Spaces: • The Main Event and Content Space: More than 900 square feet of light-filled, flexible space that can be cleared and arranged for birthday parties, baby and bridal showers, intimate weddings, paint-and-sip events, workshops, book clubs, vision-board parties, candlelight concerts, meetings, brand activations, photography and social content. • The Podcast Suites: Two private, sound-dampened rooms of approximately 200 square feet each, ideal for podcasts, interviews, voice recordings, breakout sessions or private preparation areas. Small Events for Up to 50 Guests: The main space can accommodate up to 50 guests, depending on the selected layout and event activities. Round tables and standard folding chairs are available, and the existing furniture can be removed to create seated dining, presentation, performance or open activity space. Food and Refreshments: A newly installed double sink and dedicated counter area make it convenient to serve catered or precooked food, refreshments, desserts and beverages. Cooking is not permitted. Production Equipment Included: Studio lighting, professional microphones and photography equipment are available for qualifying production bookings. Creators and small production teams can arrive ready to work without transporting a full studio setup. Historic Newport News Location: The studio is conveniently located near Newport News City Hall and the historic Apprentice School, inside one of the neighborhood’s most distinctive restored buildings.
