Our space is a 4000 square foot loft with 18 large windows, nice daylight, beamed ceilings and concrete floors. It is located in a landmark 1928 Art Deco building in downtown Los Angeles' historic core. The configuration is mostly open with open studio areas that we rent separately or together, by the day or by the hour. Back of house areas are generally not available, however we generally allow some use of the other spaces for dressing, make-up, crew or equipment storage.
Our rates apply weekdays, M-F, between the hours or 7 am and 6 pm. The day rate is based on a 10-hour day between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. Lower rates are available for multi-day rentals. Large equipment (anything on a cart or dolly) must be brought into the building via the freight elevator, open 8 am to 5 pm. Overtime access is available at an additional charge of $100/hr. Equipment may be delivered between 2 pm and 5 pm the day before a rental. For multi-day rentals, equipment may be stored overnight. All equipment, merchandise or related materials must be contained in our studio/suite. Buildings areas outside of our studios (hallways, lobbies, restrooms, building exterior) may not be used for photography, staging, sales, storage, or for any purpose other than egress. Rates for night or weekend events vary with event and typically involve additional costs. Large weekend events (weddings, late night parties) require a minimum 3-day rental. For film or photography, quoted rates assume crews of 15 or fewer. For first time renters, we require a damage deposit equal to one day's rent. We provide the space clean with loft furniture reconfigured or put away as requested by the renter. Renter has the option of returning the space as provided on the day of rent (vacuuming floors, cleaning tables, removing trash, returning furniture to original locations, etc.) Otherwise, a cleaning fee of $125 applies. Space is potentially available 24 hours. At a minimum, after hours occupancy requires the presence of a site representative at $35 per hour. For larger events and film shoots, additional charges will apply. Unless special arrangements are made, we can accommodate a maximum occupancy of 50 persons.
