Greenscreen based virtual production studio with camera tracking and lens data, using Unreal Engine for real-time previz of talent in digital 3D environments - typically with post production workflow for full quality renders and compositing. What does that mean?? Well, using Unreal Engine (a game engine with cinematic quality capabilities) we can create and use a virtual environment that can be photorealistic. Using greenscreen, we can shoot talent then composite them into that environment -- such that the parallax of the digital environment changes as it would in the real world. So when we're shooting - there's a monitor on the camera that sees into the virtual world for proper framing and focus and such! The quality of the real-time key and composite can sometimes be used for final pixels (or even real-time streaming) - though for cinematic quality it's much more often done in post. Another benefit of the post workflow is that the environment can be modified after the fact! Cameras can also be static - such that the virtual camera is then animated. That means you can have fly-in effects - like seeing the talent on a mountaintop then flying in to them. We can also shoot stereoscopic 3D for use in VR environments. The greenscreen stage itself is 14' x 14' x 12'(height), with lighting. (If you need a larger space, we can arrange for it!) There are multiple cameras available. - Blackmagic 12K (typically shooting at 8K or 4K full raster). It has tracking and lens data (you can pull focus in the virtual world) - with remote control of the focus and zoom. - Blackmagic 6K Pro - also with tracking. Can be used simultaneously with (and matched in post with) the 12K, allowing for 2-camera shots. - Blackmagic 4K: Ceiling mounted. This can be used to mimic drone shots. - (2) micro4K cameras. These can be used in tandem in a side-by-side configuration for stereo3D for VR. One of them can be used on a hand-held gimbal, to which a camera tracker can also be mounted. There are multiple camera movement options as well: - Jib arm - 4' long, variable height, can handle the full 12K rig - Dolly - Powered Slider (4' or 8') - Gimbals - handheld for small camera; full size Ronin for 12K - mini-jib for smaller camera (2') We also have a portable system for Mobile VFX. This essentially works in the opposite way as in the studio -- you shoot in the real world with tracking data, then use that to add digital CG elements into the scene. In addition to the space, we can also offer services for creation of the digital environments as well as post production and VFX. There are separate spaces for green room, wardrobe and makeup, etc.
