About The Venice Loft Studio The Venice Loft Studio is an intimate, design-forward recording and content studio set in the heart of Venice Beach. This space is built for focused creative work—whether you’re recording, producing, podcasting, or shooting content. History & Character Housed in a historic building that once sheltered gondolas when a canal ran down Westminster Avenue, the studio carries a distinctly Venice legacy. Over the years, the loft has hosted iconic creatives like Guy Webster and Dennis Hopper, and later operated as a recording studio for electronic music powerhouse Nero. Today, The Venice Loft Studio continues that creative lineage as a thoughtfully updated space for modern artists, producers, and content creators. Acoustic Design The Venice Loft Studio features room-within-room construction and a double-door entrance for strong sound isolation. The acoustics were professionally designed by Vicoustic, incorporating strategic bass traps, custom reflection point absorbers, and elegant wood diffusers on the back wall for a balanced, accurate listening environment. Only hazard-free materials were used in the build (no rock wool or glass insulation), ensuring a safe, comfortable space for long sessions. Gear & Monitoring The studio is equipped with a clean, reliable setup that makes it easy to plug in and get to work: Steinberg UR-RT2 USB interface (2-in / 2-out) Yamaha HS5 70-watt 5-inch powered studio monitors Yamaha HS8S 150-watt 8-inch powered studio subwoofer Arturia MiniBrute MK2 and Moog Mother-32 for analog synthesis and sound design This combination is ideal for recording, production, mixing, podcasts, and content with high-quality audio needs. Space & Comfort The Venice Loft Studio offers approximately 88 square feet (8.14 square meters) of creative space with 10 ft ceilings. Compact, efficient, and comfortable. It’s furnished with a desk chair and loveseat, providing flexible seating for solo work, collaborators, or clients. Linen sheers and blackout curtains, overhead lighting, and a professional ring light allow you to dial in the look and mood for both sessions and shoots. Amenities Guests of The Venice Loft Studio have access to a shared common area with restroom and kitchenette, making longer bookings easy and convenient. Inside the studio, you’ll find practical extras including microphone stands, patch cables, microphone cables, Legato tripods, and additional ring lights for recording and content creation. A Vitruvi essential oil diffuser and Molekule air purification system help maintain a fresh, calm atmosphere so you can stay focused on the work.
