1970's Retro Escape

About the Cabin: Our charming cabin (mobile home), was placed on the property in the late 1960s, and was a family retreat for years. It retains all its original features, providing a nostalgic and authentic experience. This includes: wood paneling, gold velvet couch, macramé wall hangings, avocado-colored appliances, sinks, and bathtub and 1960’s-70’s dishes and glassware. With its retro charm and cozy ambiance, the cabin is perfect retro escape. Please note that the cabin is retro and mostly original, meaning that outside of the plumbing, electrical and some new furnishings it has not been updated or modernized, purposefully preserving its vintage character and charm. The range top and oven are from the 1960’s and a little temperamental but they still work great. A testament to what “durable goods” should be 😊. Property Highlights: • Location: Situated on the pristine shores of Lake Buchanan, offering stunning lake views, beautiful sunsets and easy access to water activities. (Yes with the recent rains the lake is now completely full :-)) • Historical Significance: The cabin is located on land that many believe to be scared ceremonial land by our ancient ancestors. We ask that all guests treat the land with the utmost respect and reverence. • Original Features: Enjoy the cabin's original woodwork, retro furnishings, and unique architectural details that transport you back in time. • Outdoor Space: Relax on the spacious lake side porch, take a stroll down to the beach, swim, paddle board or enjoy a picnic by the lake. Fire pit (not firewood) provided (assuming there is no burn ban in place) • Fully equipped kitchen/outside grill: Although the kitchen is a galley kitchen it has a full-size refrigerator, vintage cooktop/oven. Has coffee maker, silverware, glassware and all the pots and pans needed to cook and enjoy your meals.
