About The Hillbilly House

200-Year-Old Smoky Mountain Farmhouse with Riverfront Access Step back in time at this authentic 200-year-old farmhouse in the Smoky Mountains, just 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. Perfect for film, photography, and creative productions, the property offers a rare mix of raw Appalachian character and cinematic backdrops. Key Features:    •   Historic Atmosphere: Original wood floors, antique furniture, vintage details, and layered textures create a one-of-a-kind setting for period pieces, lifestyle shoots, or moody editorial work. Original river rock and mud only double-sided fireplace very rare probably not another one outside of the national park. Built in the late 1700s. The whole house leans on this fireplace. A true piece of history.    •   Diverse Looks in One Location: Indoor spaces with weathered charm, a cozy front porch, open fields, and private riverfront access for water shots or outdoor scenes.    •   Rustic Outdoor Elements: A hot outdoor shower, natural wood fencing, gravel drive, and mature trees provide authentic rural details.    •   Cinematic Light: The house’s aged wood and multi-pane windows catch natural light beautifully, with options for dramatic shadows or warm golden-hour glow.    •   Flexible Shooting Angles: Secluded property with minimal modern intrusions for clean, timeless frames. In addition to the house, there is also a super rare 1958 cameo Chevrolet pick up truck white with red trim. This is an extremely rare vehicle it runs and it is in beautiful condition. Restored but not perfect. My father restored it back to its original look no weird alterations very historically accurate, right down to the hubcaps in white walls. The Farm House is set back from the road has private river access, 3 1/2 acres of open rowing fields and mature forest tree space. Trails a creek in addition to the little pigeon river out front. Waterfalls tons of original artwork in the house very lived in very funky. Well maintained clean and comfortable, but with lots of lived in charm from my dad’s interesting life, he led. This was his Oasis. This isn’t a polished set — it’s a real farmhouse with history in every board. Ideal for filmmakers, photographers, music video directors, or creatives looking for something authentic, soulful, and a little rough around the edges.
