Monarch Boulevard is a plant-filled, natural-light home located in a 1920s Detroit residence on the city’s West Side, near local cafés and parks. This listing is for a quiet, private front room designed for focused individual work, coaching sessions, virtual meetings, and deep concentration in a calm, low-distraction environment.
The room is located directly off the main entry and is intentionally minimal and grounding. It includes a daybed, shelving with books, and a clean surface area suitable for seated work, reflection, or virtual calls. A height-adjustable standing desk with an ottoman stool is available in an adjacent nook, along with a whiteboard, folding chairs, charging station, bamboo laptop tray, and a portable dual-screen monitor extender (USB-C/HDMI).
A key feature of the space is the window view overlooking the front porch and the monarch waystation and pollinator garden across the yard. During active seasons, guests may observe butterflies and native pollinators directly from the workspace, creating a quiet, natural backdrop for focused work.
The space is shoes-off, substance-free, and designed for privacy and concentration. While the doorway is open (no door), the room is exclusively reserved for each booking and no other guests are present during your reservation. A decorative divider is available for additional visual separation if desired.
Occasionally, shy outdoor cats from a managed neighborhood colony may pass through the front porch or garden area. They remain entirely outdoors and do not enter the indoor space.
Amenities include fast Eero mesh WiFi and keyless entry for easy access.
This space is best suited for 1–2 guests using it for coaching, therapy, consulting, virtual meetings, focused work sessions, or solo creative planning.
The space is substance-free and alcohol-free. Shoes are removed indoors. Outside catering is allowed with prior approval. Outside pets are not permitted.
Standard rate is $50/hour with a 2-hour minimum booking requirement.
