About the Space

A 1200 sq ft boutique recording studio in the cellar of a historic 1871 Williamsburg building with a retro vibe. A collection of vintage and modern equipment has supported sessions with Ingrid Michaelson, Tracy Bonham, Dar Williams, Valerie June, Brian Blade, Cory Henry, and many more. The layout includes a 25' x 19' live room, a 17' x 18' control room, a 9' x 8' isolation booth, and three additional sound lock spaces for maximum recording isolation, plus a kitchenette and private bathroom. Instruments: Steinway upright piano, Wurlitzer 200A, Hammond B3, Suitcase Rhodes 88, Moog, Juno, an extensive collection of vintage amps, guitars, and basses, 30 snares, and five vintage drum kits including Ludwig, Rogers, and Gretsch. Microphones: AKG C24, 414 ULS (×2), Neumann U67, FET47, U87, KM84 (×2) Mic Preamps: BAE 1023 (×4), 1084 (×2), Sound Techniques (×2), API 312 (×8) Compressors: Neve 33609, LA2A, CL1B, Retro 176 (×2) Outboard Effects: Bricasti, Lexicon, AKG Springs Recording: Pro Tools HD Ultimate, 32 channels of Lynx Aurora conversion, 32 channels of Dangerous 2-Bus summing A staff engineer is available for an additional fee.

The studio is professionally cleaned before every booking. All surfaces, equipment, and common areas including the kitchenette and bathroom are freshly cleaned and guest-ready on arrival. We take pride in maintaining a pristine environment so every session starts fresh. Renters are expected to leave the space in the condition they found it.

Cancellation Policy

Standard 30-day

Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and seven days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than seven days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn More
All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
