Welcome to The Alberta Atelier, a natural light-filled, design-forward production location in NE Portland. Curated transitional interiors, two styled bedrooms, a spa-like primary bath, a moodier finished basement, and a private zen garden offer multiple looks in one booking.
The home has been meticulously furnished and styled with high-end transitional pieces, curated art, and considered design throughout. Every room reads as a complete, magazine-ready environment, ready to shoot as-is, or available as a clean canvas for productions bringing their own art direction.
WHAT WORKS HERE
The Alberta Atelier is built for commercial photo and video productions, including brand and lifestyle campaigns, catalog and e-commerce shoots, fashion editorials and lookbooks, food and home goods brand content, interior design campaigns, beauty and wellness commercials, music videos and short films, podcast and interview filming, and long-form social content creation. The space is equally suited to small intimate shoots and full agency productions with hair, makeup, wardrobe, and client crews.
THE LIGHT
Set on a corner parcel with strong light exposure throughout the day. East light in the morning, full south light midday, and warm west light through late afternoon. Picture windows on multiple sides give productions flexibility to chase the sun room to room. All white walls and updated modern lighting throughout provide a clean, color grade ready canvas, ideal for bright editorial, lifestyle, and lookbook work.
THE LAYOUT
Main floor, bright and airy. Open living room with built in bookcases, gas fireplace, box beam ceilings, and wood floors. Anchored by a carefully curated mix of high-end furniture and original art. Flows directly into the bright, versatile white kitchen with granite counters, large island, and gas range, well suited for food, cooking, and lifestyle brand content. Powder room on this level.
Primary spa bath. The large primary bathroom features a deep soaker tub, walk in shower, porcelain tile, and marble counters, a clean, elevated canvas for beauty, wellness, skincare, and intimate lifestyle work.
Guest bedrooms. Two large, light-filled bedrooms individually styled with high-end transitional pieces and original art, distinct enough to read as its own separate location within the same production.
Finished basement, moodier alternative. Large finished basement provides a darker, more cinematic aesthetic, a contrasting second look that lets productions get genuine range from a single location without rebuilding sets.
Private garden, outdoor set. Zen like outdoor sanctuary with mature plants, flagstone patio and walkways, custom landscaping and full privacy via high-end fencing and a locking gate. Functions as an entirely separate exterior location. Beautiful in every season.
Front deck. Additional exterior look with strong morning light, suitable for portraits and detail work.
PRODUCTION LOGISTICS
Free street parking on two sides of the corner lot, with easy access for crew vehicles, talent, and a standard grip truck. Ground level entry through the front door, side door, or garden gate. Wide halls and large doorways accommodate carts and equipment. Standard residential power with outlets in every room (please inquire if your production requires high draw lighting). High speed Wi Fi. Central heat and AC throughout, comfortable year round for crew and talent.
Exceptionally quiet, well insulated interior with minimal exterior noise bleed, excellent for sync sound and podcast recording. Two and a half bathrooms available for crew. Front door built in hall tree, finished basement, and two guest bedrooms available as staging areas for hair, makeup, and wardrobe. Kitchen fully functional and available for craft services and catering. EV charger on site.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The Alberta Atelier sits two blocks from NE Alberta Street, one of Portland's most active arts and dining districts, a walkable mile of independent galleries, coffee roasters, restaurants, vintage shops, and bars. Crew can grab espresso, lunch, or wine without ever moving a vehicle. Whole Foods, and New Seasons are all within a few minutes for catering pickups or last minute supplies. Four neighborhood parks (Alberta, Fernhill, Hydro, and Irving) are within walking distance for additional outdoor backdrops. The surrounding streets are quiet, residential, and full of mature trees, a clean, distinctly Portland feeling exterior environment if your production extends beyond the property line. Fifteen minutes to downtown Portland, fifteen minutes to PDX airport.
The Alberta Atelier is hosted by owners in the video production industry. Every detail of the home has been chosen with intention, and we are happy to coordinate with your art and production designers in advance. Please inquire for square footage, dimensions, or scouting visits.
