A multi-aesthetic performance venue with several nooks with hints of Silver Screen Noir, Dark Academia, Belle Époque, Space Age Mod, and Bohemia. Each space has its own distinct visual identity, making it ideal for film shoots, photo shoots, music videos, and productions that need varied backdrops without changing locations. The venue includes a theatrical lighting rig, flexible seating, and natural light from street-facing windows. The stage area accommodates live performance, comedy showcases, theatre productions, and rehearsals. Individual booth spaces can be used separately or the full venue can be booked as one. Perfect for film and photo shoots, live music, DJ sets, theatre, comedy, workshops, poetry slams, private dinners, cabaret, birthday parties, and private celebrations. Capacity up to 100 guests. Free parking available on site. History Visceral Adventure Lounge is the home of Silent Theatre Company, a Chicago-based nonprofit theatre company with over 20 years of producing immersive, community-rooted performance. The venue was built from that legacy — designed as a space where art, culture, and conversation could happen under one roof. Located in Humboldt Park, one of Chicago's most creatively vibrant neighborhoods, VAL opened in 2026 as a private membership arts venue and event space. Neighborhood Humboldt Park is a historic Chicago neighborhood with deep roots in Puerto Rican culture, community art, and independent creative enterprise. The venue is on W Grand Avenue with easy access from the 290 and free street parking directly outside. Surrounded by local restaurants, murals, and community spaces that reflect the neighborhood's creative energy. Logistics The venue spans approximately 2,000 square feet with six individually themed booth spaces plus a main stage area. Spaces can be booked individually or as a full venue. Seating is flexible — lounge, cabaret, or theatre style depending on the event. Full theatrical lighting rig, natural light from street-facing windows. Tables and chairs available. Free parking on site. Capacity up to 100 guests. Special Rates Sliding scale rates available for independent artists, nonprofit organizations, and community groups. Contact host to discuss. Standard rates: $125/hr for film and photo shoots, $150/hr for events and productions.

I promise you that you will only here me say “cheese” during your family’s session if your kids just asked me what my favorite food is. Space is cleaned and reset between every booking.

Cancellation Policy

Standard 30-day

Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and seven days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than seven days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
