Orchid Hollow is a private 25-acre farm and vineyard in Virginia’s Piedmont, with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor settings for photography, video, content creation and gatherings. The property includes open pastures, vineyard rows, a pond, wooded areas and trails, a historic tobacco barn, greenhouse, pool, screened reading room, and a circa-1900 farmhouse with a wraparound porch. Horses live on the property, along with goats, chickens, farm dogs and cats, so there is usually a little real farm life happening somewhere. The property offers very different backdrops within a short walk of one another—from the tobacco barn, pond and vineyard to horse pastures, woods, open fields, pool and farmhouse porch. This makes it especially useful for photographers and production teams looking to create several different looks during one booking. Bookings also include daytime access to our guest apartment, providing a comfortable indoor home base with a full kitchen, bathroom and living area. It works well for wardrobe changes, hair and makeup, equipment, meals or a break between setups. One private bedroom is not included and will remain locked during bookings. Orchid Hollow works especially well for photo and video shoots, brand and lifestyle content, family and engagement photography, editorial shoots, creator content days, photographer mini-sessions and private gatherings. Because this is a working farm, access to specific animals or certain areas of the property should be arranged with us in advance. If you have something a little unusual in mind, ask us. With 25 acres, there’s probably a spot for it.
