A unique, artist-designed creative studio in East Harlem built around sound, rhythm, movement, and collaboration. The space combines the open floor and warmth of a professional movement studio with the musical infrastructure of a working creative space—making it especially well suited for recording sessions, dance and music rehearsals, sound healing, photo and video shoots, workshops, private events, movement practices, and multidisciplinary productions.
The studio features a beautiful sprung wood floor, professional sound system, and an extensive in-house musical backline. Available instruments include piano, drums, bass, percussion, congas, vibraphone, synthesizers, and additional percussion and sound-making instruments. This allows musicians, producers, dancers, and interdisciplinary artists to walk into a space already designed for live creative collaboration rather than having to build a setup from scratch.
The open studio floor can be configured for a wide range of uses. It works beautifully for live music and recording projects, rehearsals, auditions, choreography and movement, content creation, interviews, photography, small-scale filming, castings, classes, workshops, wellness sessions, meditation, yoga, breathwork, sound baths, and other intimate creative gatherings.
For sound and wellness practitioners, the natural warmth of the wood floor and collection of acoustic instruments create an especially inviting environment for sound baths, gong work, meditation, breathwork, ceremonial gatherings, and private or small-group healing experiences.
For musicians and creative teams, the combination of professional audio, instruments, open floor space, and plug-and-play infrastructure makes the studio particularly useful for projects that cross disciplines. Music and movement can happen in the same room without one being treated as an afterthought.
The space was created by working artists and is designed to feel warm, intentional, and creatively alive rather than like a generic rental studio. It is an excellent fit for guests looking for a distinctive New York setting with real artistic character and professional creative amenities.
