We\u2019re going to keep this list of \u201cSurvivor: Australia\u201d filming locations to the more modern seasons, kicking things off with the first reboot series that aired in 2016 and 2017. An article on Fodors<\/a> tells us just how risky it could be for the production: \u201cWhile contestants of Samoa were lucky to never run into a natural disaster of their own, they cut it close with an earthquake and tsunami hitting the area just mere days after filming. According to fijiislands.com.au<\/a>, it is is still a local hidden treasure. \u201cLocated on Fiji\u2019s northern island of Vanua Levu, Savusavu is considered one of Fiji\u2019s best kept secrets.  Affectionately termed \u201cthe hidden paradise of Fiji\u201d, this area is known for its natural beauty, spectacular diving, local hospitality and sustainable, eco-friendly resorts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
