Here at Peerspace, host safety and support is incredibly important to us. After all, it’s their incredible spaces and hospitality that enable memorable experiences to happen on a daily basis. When a host opens their doors to others, they should do so with peace of mind. Today, we’re announcing that every booking made on Peerspace automatically includes liability insurance coverage up to $1,000,000.
While accidents are rare, they can happen and we want our hosts to feel secure. This is a new kind of coverage that we built specifically for short-term use so that hosts receive unprecedented protection when renting out their space. This coverage is an important step forward for short-term space rentals and is an example of Peerspace’s aim to push the industry forward.
If you’re a current host, you won’t need to take any action to be covered under this policy – it’s included in every booking transacted through the Peerspace platform. This policy is effective for bookings occurring after March 1, 2016 and is just one of many things we’re working on to build a safe and productive community.
