This bucolic location of rolling hills, large pastures and beautiful animals is incredibly scenic, offering a variety of settings for photographers. Located in the historic Hudson Valley, the farm is home to 15 award-winning alpacas prized for their beautiful, colorful fleeces, two handsome donkeys, and two friendly Icelandic horses. The animals are pastured in hilltop fields with scenic views, and a beautiful grove of tall trees. A variety of barns, a large organic garden and hilltop pastures add to the beauty of this special location, just 40 miles north of NYC. A new swimming pool is surrounded by artisan stone walls and beautiful flower beds. A renovated 1,600 square foot barn filled with antique spinning wheels is used as a farm store, selling all kinds of handmade alpaca garments. This renovated sheep barn has abundant light with windows on three sides and four skylights above. We also have a large 1,500 square foot hay barn in which we host events, such as square dances and engagement parties. The hay loft is a working farm space and doesn't have windows, but it has two 12' wide sliding doors and abundant power outlets. Both barns are quiet and private. Our on-site farm manager can help you determine which space is best for your needs. She can also bring you in the fields with the alpacas and horses. Our lovely setting of rolling hills, mountain views, Icelandic horses, beautiful alpacas, and antique farm equipment, make our farm a unique environment for both film and still photography. Our location has been used by fashion magazines, television shows (CBS, The Martha Stewart Show, etc.), theater groups, wedding photographers, family portraits, and independent photographers looking for a beautiful, unique country setting.
