This versatile portrait studio is available for rental for photographers, videographers and content creators. The studio, in a 112 year-old historic building in the heart of downtown New London, features four rooms with different light qualities that are great for shooting both with natural light and artificial light. There are two large rooms of equal size. One is light & bright, with three large 4x8 foot windows which provide beautiful, bright natural light. It features a wall mounted backdrop holder with three seamless backdrops (colors vary but always include white and tan/beige, 86" in length). There are a few different posing areas in this room, including a neutral gray couch, antique gold & brown upholstered chairs and the seamless backdrops. The second large room has two large 4x8 foot windows and offers more moody lighting. There is a gorgeous blue velvet couch, faux fireplace and queen bed in this space. This room features darker wooden floors and a deep green wall for beautiful, evocative images. The medium sized room features three large 4x8 foot windows which provide beautiful natural light. This room features three windows spread over two walls which creates beautiful, directional lighting. This room features a lush live plants, a peacock chair, white couch, full length mirror, a desk/vanity and a beautiful carved wood screen. The smallest room is perfect for storing gear or personal items, hair and makeup, allowing clients to change wardrobes, and can even be used for shooting with the beautiful velvet ottoman and wall mounted mirror. Renters are also welcome to use our collection of backdrops (both seamless and pop-up), light modifiers, and posing props & furniture. The studio is great for photographing families, headshots, studio and lifestyle newborn sessions and boudoir sessions. PLEASE NOTE: A separate indemnification agreement is required by building management and will be sent to you upon booking being accepted.
