The place was beautiful and spacious. There was a lot of room for the foods and none of the guests felt crammed. I had no problems with anything.

This venue was beautiful! Very spacious and I loved how easy it was to access the tables/chairs/sound system, etc. It was also easy to get in contact with the host and she did allow me to extend my time on the day of. However, I would like to note that the bathroom did not work properly. The toilets were not able to flush toilet paper down, and there were signs that said “Do not flush tissue”, my guests were confused and thought it was referring to paper towels or other tissues (since a toilet SHOULD be able to flush toilet paper)…. So my guest flushed the toilet paper and it got clogged. There was no plunger available, so I called the host and she said there was a plunger but it is locked in her office. She did not offer to come by to help with the problem, she suggested pouring hot water down the toilet (which I didn’t have) or PAY for a plunger by the Food Basics nearby. This was quite upsetting because she did not offer to cover any costs for this, despite having a horrible plumbing system. I wish I knew that her toilet does not work normally because I have guests who have Crohn’s Disease and IBD and NEED access to a toilet which they could use. I had to inform all my guests not to flush toilet paper and if they have to do #2 to go to the Tim Hortons in the plaza. That was quite embarrassing. The room was also very hot! I turned the AC to as low as 10-18 and it was keeping the room at 24, so my guests were sweating and using plates as fans. I did like the space and how beautiful everything was, I just wish I knew about the plumbing because I would have picked a different venue. —————————— [HOST RESPONSE: “Thank you for your review. While we appreciate your feedback in regard to the toilet, we would like to clarify that usage instructions are clearly posted for all guests to read and follow. As for the air conditioning, we have 2 working units but due to it being unusually hot this summer, cooling of the room can take a while.”]
