Neighborhood details: The Legacy Building is at the corner of 46th and Minnehaha Ave in the Longfellow neighborhood. Home to an eclectic mix of parks including Minnehaha Falls, Wabun Picnic Area and Hiawatha Park. Locally owned restaurants including PK Cafe located right next door, Parkway Pizza and Sea Salt a few blocks away. Plus Walgreens, Cub Foods and Falls Liquor all within walking distance. Giving you a taste of iconic south Minneapolis without being in the chaos of the bustling sky scrappers and busy streets. Transportation Options: City Bus: 9, 7, 46 METRO Blue Line .03 miles (about 4 blocks) Our Space: The Legacy Building is Black-owned and operated by a husband and wife team. We opened our doors in June of 2022. Our multi-use, multi-level creative space is designed for creators of all kinds. Our space is an inclusive, vibrant, and authentic environment that fosters creativity and provides everything you need to bring your ideas to life. We are creators and artists ourselves. The Legacy Building was birthed out of our own necessity to create. The layout of our space is divided into five distinct areas: Gallery, Creative Studio, Recording Studio, Rehearsal Room, and natural Light Studio/Storefront. The space, as a whole, is ideal for events, both intimate and large-scale, however each space is unique and can be used for a variety of activities. Our Gallery is perfect for exhibitions and showcases, while our Creative Studio is a versatile space that can be used for anything from film screenings to live music performances our Rehearsal Room is perfect for bands and theater groups. Finally, our Natural Light Studio/Storefront is a flexible space that can be used for pop-up shops, poetry readings, coffee & conversations and more. One of our unique features is our Vibe Magazine wall, which showcases iconic covers from the legendary hip-hop publication. In the lower level you'll find our free play arcade and the Cloud Room. Another standout feature, offering a cozy and intimate space for meditations, brainstorming sessions, or just relaxation. In addition to these unique features, we also offer a variety of amenities to help you bring your creative vision to life. The building is fitted with Govee lighting system throughout, allowing you to control the lighting color and brightness. At The Legacy Building, we take great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for all our guests. Our cleaning process is thorough, efficient and effective. Our cleaning team is highly trained and dedicated to keeping our space in top condition. Ensuring that every surface is wiped down, every floor is mopped, and every piece of equipment is sanitized. We take cleanliness very seriously and we know that our guests appreciate it. But keeping our creative space clean is not just the responsibility of our cleaning team. We also rely on our guests to help us maintain a clean and hygienic environment. We encourage our guests to clean up after themselves and to dispose of any garbage in the designated bins. Brooms, mops, paper towels, gloves, disinfectant cleaning spray and wipes are all accessible should you need it. We also ask that our guests respect the space and leave it as they found it.
Cancellation Policy
Standard 30 day
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
