About the Space
Spadinababy is Toronto’s modular Photography and Event Space for all artists and artforms. Our 1200 square foot studio entails a curated musician based aesthetic, perfect for photoshoots and events. The studio has 12 foot ceilings and large corner loft windows. Amenities such as a mini fridge, sink, wifi, tables, sofa, speakers and 1 washroom are included. Entrance for the studio is through a double door entrance on Richmond St. with a freight elevator on the second floor for convenient equipment loading. After-hour rate applies after 1AM, please inquire about overtime bookings.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Held a graduation party at this venue! My guest were very pleased about the space and the event overall went well! I reached out to the host a week before for details but didn't get a response and had to send a couple text messages but she got back to me a couple hours before the event and it went smoothly! the space us not as advertised at all and thankfully I came 20 mins before guest were due to arrive and had to rearrange the furniture and space with my friends but it was very deceiving (so event space does not look like the photos at all) . We returned the furniture to how we found it once the event was finished. In addition, the kitchen sink did not work and i was only told about it an hour prior to the event only after reaching out to the host. This should have been told me to ahead of time. in addition, things that are said to be included in the booking such as projector, kitchen, speakers, mics, stage, etc. are in fact not (so if you are here for that stuff don't bother) however, we ended up bringing our own mini speakers and projector from home which was annoying since we had to reach out to friends last minute to bring it with them. Accessing opening/closing the venue was easy. Overall, if you are looking to have a party with a group of about 20-40 people this is a great space you'll just have to do some leg work to actually get the event to look like how you want it to look.

The studio was a mess and looked nothing like it did in the pictures. The host messaged me at 9pm the night before our 9am shoot, telling me they had set up some speakers in the room and asking if I wanted to cancel with a discount for rebooking. We had already organized the crew and talent to meet there so didn’t have any other options at that point. The host didn’t send the arrival instructions until 10am, an hour after our start time. Luckily the door wasn’t locked and we were already inside setting up. The venue was messy and we had to spend a lot of time moving metal stands, piping and wood around to make a composition. We only really had on tiny area we could shoot in. Two stars because we managed to pull off a nice shot in the end. But I wouldn’t recommend for photo/video.

I suggest checking out the space in advance and ensuring it is to your liking. It is a big space and there are lots of stairs to get to the 4th floor. It is an older building and it smells old and musky. The host did not reply to any of my questions leading up to the booking. When I arrived the trash cans were full and there were a couple dirty dishes in the sink. The space clearly had not been cleaned. I booked for a birthday party and it was fine, but I would not book again for the lack of communication and lack of cleanliness.
