The farm and the historic James Marshall Byron Home, is a circa 1835 farm and residential estate of 95 acres. It is a National Register property about 1.5 miles from Shepherdstown city line. The farm itself is has a main compound which houses the large "L" shaped Greek revival estate home as well as the main barn, a former dairy barn, as well as axillary farm structures and cut-flower production gardens. The rest of the farm is a mixture of forested areas and open pastures, many of which are fully screened by native forested boundaries. Any and all of the farm features are up for consideration. The inside of the home is updated and filled with charming and eclectic decor perfect for a photo shoot or other staging area. The surrounding pastures and forests are lovely for larger events, civil war inspired film, festivals, and more.
