A 1,500 sq ft gallery floor in the heart of downtown Oakland, built around a full wall of steel-framed windows. The building's original storefront lettering still runs across the upper glass and reads backwards from the inside, which gives your photos a backdrop nobody else on the block has. Double-height black ceilings, white walls and light grey plank floors - a clean room that takes on whatever look you bring to it.
The mobile bar rolls wherever you want it, and there's a prep kitchen behind the floor with two commercial refrigerators, stainless prep tables and a sink for a caterer to work from, or for keeping a cake cold until you cut it. Blackout drapes run the full length of the window wall for when the room needs to go dark.
Room for seventy-five guests with tables and chairs included, restrooms on site, WiFi throughout, and a street-level entrance with no stairs so vendors and guests come straight in off the sidewalk. If you would rather hand off the details, we can connect you with caterers, rental companies and event planners for decor, linens and lighting. An AV technician and door security can also be arranged on request - just tell me what you need when you book and I will quote it with the booking.
Well suited to mixers, birthdays, showers, launch parties, receptions and pop-ups. A short walk from the 12th Street BART station, with free and metered street parking in the surrounding blocks and a paid lot nearby.
