About the Space

This space is a working atelier, creating bespoke event wear during the week and hosting creatives on the weekends. The atelier is perfect for editorial photoshoots and films, boudoir, bridal, creative concepts, and aesthetic content creation. The main room has high ceilings and plentiful natural light from 12-foot windows facing north and west. During the week, this room accommodates wedding dress fittings, so you are surrounded by jewelry and femme furnishings. The room features a large mirror from a former dance studio, a marble fireplace (nonworking), and wooden floors and trim, giving the space an Old World feel. In addition to the main room, there is a private dressing room with a sliding door and multiple mirrors. There is also a spacious bathroom, microwave, and mini fridge. -=Logistics=- Move the furniture or use it as is-- doesn't matter as long as you please put it back. Also available are a variety of antique and vintage decor/props: candelabra, goblets, dress forms-- we can discuss when you book. The building is wheelchair accessible, with a low ramp up to the front door. The atelier is on the first floor and has a wheelchair-accessible restroom. One caveat: because the building is historic, some of the interior doors are 33" wide. I recommend measuring mobility devices in case this is an issue. The building has a parking lot and the neighborhood has plentiful street parking. We are accessible via buses 21 and 94, and a 15-20 minute walk from the Woodberry light rail station. -=Past Bookings=- We've hosted photoshoots featured in Baltimore Weddings and Enchanted Magazine. We've also hosted private bridal brunches, micro weddings, and intimate cocktail hours. -=The Building & Neighborhood=- Built-in 1899 as the police station for the Northern District, the Castle at Keswick received a 2010 Historic Preservation Award for its restoration and transformation into office and studio spaces. The Hampden neighborhood in Baltimore is a hip, walkable community with a variety of restaurants and shopping. The atelier is within walking distance of Rocket to Venus, Harmony Bakery, Common Ground Cafe, shopping on The Avenue, and more.
