About The After Hours Lounge / Parakeet Suite

Step into an opulent dual-suite photo and production studio in DTLA, which includes two fully styled sets with true-vintage decor and props. We're located in a historic Renaissance Revival building featuring marble hallways, grand staircases, and timeless architectural detail. The studio is ideal for editorial and boudoir photography, fashion campaigns, music videos, film productions, cocktail parties, and intimate music events. THE SUITES: The AFTER HOURS LOUNGE shape-shifts across four distinct looks — a moody Cuban cigar lounge, an intimate boudoir, a lavish living room, and an Old Hollywood speakeasy. Styled vignettes with authentic vintage pieces let productions achieve multiple setups. Featured pieces: - an upright Essex for Steinway piano (recently tuned) - a clawfoot Victorian sofa - Hollywood Regency gilded artichoke lamps - a 1970s dimmable smoked glass chandelier - an Art Deco Chinese bar cabinet - designer barware - heavy velvet draperies - an extensive collection of authentic vintage props and decor, including ashtrays, decanters, and barware This suite has access to a PRIVATE FIRE ESCAPE with views of DTLA. Waivers must be signed by all guests to use the fire escape. The PARAKEET SUITE draws inspiration from the infamous Chateau Marmont, designed to feel romantic and slightly disheveled in the spirit of Old Hollywood interiors. Warm salmon walls look beautiful in the golden hour light, and a steady cross-breeze creates natural movement for editorial and cinematic shoots. Featured pieces: - an antique Art Deco rug adorned with richly detailed bird motifs - a floral Victorian Eastlake chaise lounge - a chinoiserie dressing screen and an art deco flamingo dressing screen - a Hollywood Regency serving trolley styled with crystal wine and champagne stemware, Limoges teacups, and French candlesticks - dramatic damask feather-pattern drapery CREDITS: For commercial productions, please credit our studio (After Hours Vintage) as "Set Designer" in any social media posts and online or print publications. @afterhoursvintagela THE BUILDING: The building has a 24 hour security guard and cameras in hallways for a secure, controlled environment. ROOFTOP ACCESS: Requires 48 hours notice Waiver forms require signatures Flat fee: $150 - up to 1.5 hours (please see Add-Ons) We are centrally located near Santee Alley with convenient access to restaurants, coffee shops, production supply stores, and affordable parking. Sundays typically offer the easiest parking conditions. Our studio also functions as a RETAIL BOUTIQUE and our collection of barware and select props are available for purchase. Health and Safety Measures

We dust all surfaces and wash any barware that will be used as props. We vacuume the space and sofas in between bookings.

Cancellation Policy

Flexible

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
