Artist’s Flat in North Oakland / Temescal

Miles High Art Haus Gallery (MHAH) is an artist + poet’s lucid dream: serving as the working studio + home of Oakland multidisciplinary + lucid dream artist c.weird for more than a decade. We’ve hosted workshops, photo shoots, tea parties, yoga classes, art therapy sessions, tattoo artists, tarot readers, ritual and ceremony, music performances and video shoots, and more. As a resident of this 1,350sqft north Oakland gem for the past 11 years, in the summer of 2023 I converted this 3-bedroom second-story flat with an abnormally large living room into a performance, workshop, co-working, and meeting lounge. The walls are filled with artworks by local artists and pieces from my travels. Both the decor and much of the furniture is modular and can be rearranged to fit your needs. So far we’ve hosted transformative conversations and talks featuring emerging authors and poets, cleansing sound baths and healing meditation workshops, plant medicine centered ceremony, yoga classe, witchy workshops, and even a punk band that had our neighbors checking if we needed another extension cord as we miraculously didn’t wake the baby next door. We’re friends with our neighbors on all sides, and are happy to be opening our doors to more folks looking for spaces saturated with art and creativity for an ever-expanding range of innovative uses. There is a small urban garden space with seating outside as well where we tend to enjoy BBQs and a change of pace from indoors, weather permitting.
