A 900 square foot recording studio in Sherman Oaks, built and run by a working film and TV composer with credits on Netflix, HBO, Disney+, National Geographic and Marvel Animation. This is a real working room, not a rental set. It's where I track and mix my own scores, and it's set up so you can walk in and hit record. Good for artists, bands, songwriters, producers, beatmakers, podcasters, voice actors and content creators. Up to 12 guests. Three hour minimum on all bookings. No exceptions. WHAT MAKES THIS ROOM DIFFERENT Our isolation booth fits a full drum kit. The Gretsch four-piece stays miked and ready to record, so you're not spending your first hour on setup. There's also a display inside the booth for ADR and self-recording. We run a full Adam 5.1 monitoring system (3x S3A, 2x A7X, Sub12) through an SPL 2038 surround controller. If you're doing ADR, film and TV post, or anything in surround, there is nowhere else in the Valley renting this by the hour. And the front end is real: a Neumann U87 into an Avalon D2022, four channels of Universal Audio 710 preamp and compression, an SSL 18 audio interface and a huge collection of UAD plugins, including Autotune Realtime Advanced. GROUND LEVEL, DAYLIGHT, AND EASY LOAD-IN You park and walk straight in. No elevator, no freight schedule, no hauling a kick drum down a corridor. The room has a window and real daylight, which is rare for a studio. Open the door and you're outside at ground level, under trees and open sky. It's a plain residential backyard, not a designed one, but on a six hour session it means your breaks happen in fresh air.
