A creative, flexible space built for teams that want to get real work done and leave with momentum. FriendsQuarters sits where Gastown meets the Downtown Core, and it shows. The space has the bones of a 1904 heritage building (exposed brick, original hardwood floors, wood beams) and the energy of a place where people are actually building things. It doesn't feel like a hotel boardroom. That's the point. At 5,500 sq ft, the space is anchored by a rare outdoor atrium that floods every area with natural light and organically divides the floor into five or six distinct zones. Run your full team in one configuration, break into smaller groups in another, and keep the energy moving throughout the day all within the same booking. 🪑 Capacity and Layout The space comfortably seats up to 100 guests and can accommodate up to 300 depending on configuration. Layouts can be arranged for presentations, classroom or boardroom style, breakout groups, open working sessions, or a mix of all of the above. Just let us know your preferred setup in advance and we'll have it ready when you arrive. 🛠️ Built for Real Work This is not a passive rental. FriendsQuarters is a working space every day of the week, and it's equipped accordingly. High-speed Wi-Fi, desks, tables, and power are available throughout. A projector and presentation setup are included. Meeting rooms are available for smaller sessions or private calls running alongside your main event. And if your team wants to capture the day, whether it's interviews, a panel, a recap video, or a podcast episode, our on-site media studio is available to run simultaneously. Three Blackmagic 4K cameras, an ATEM switcher, soundproofing, professional lighting, and a production assistant included. Content creation doesn't have to wait for another day. 🎨 The Vibe Warm without being casual. Professional without being sterile. Abstract art, greenery, and the kind of eclectic character that only a heritage Gastown building can offer. The lounge area is genuinely comfortable. The kind of place where the best conversations of your off-site happen during the break. There's also a full bar, a kitchen, and a pool table for when the day shifts into social mode. We are proudly Vancouver's AI house. If your team is building in tech or AI, you'll feel that from the moment you walk in. 📍 Location and Access We're at #200–116 WEST Hastings Street — enter through the main entrance on Hastings and buzz #200. We're on the 2nd floor, accessed by stairs (no elevator). Your host will meet you at the top. Steps from Waterfront Station and a short walk from Stadium–Chinatown, putting us close to both BC Place and Rogers Arena. Street parking on Hastings and surrounding streets, with several private lots within a couple of blocks. 💰 Pricing Meeting room rentals start at $44/hour for smaller sessions. Health and Safety Measures

The space and amenities are cleaned and sanitized between events. However you as the host of your event are responsible for putting all trash/garbage into the bins provided and clean up after yourself.

Cancellation Policy

Flexible

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
