An original Chinatown-era California bungalow, the property has been renovated sustainably and with attention to detail. The Dining room and Kitchen are color drenched in a cinematic deep burgundy, complemented by sleek minimalist European furniture, cabinetry and appliances. The Kitchen bar in Emperador marble looks out over the living room, an open neutral colored space sporting high vaulted ceilings and a beautiful handcrafted lime plastered fireplace. Both Living and Dining rooms share a wide sliding door that looks out over a large deck stepping down to a beautiful garden. Heading into the private section of the home, a dark moody hallway frames views into into the kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. The larger master bedroom's wine-colored walls shimmer, reflecting the dappled light filtering into the room through the surrounding bamboo grove. A sliding door off the room is framed by dramatic velvet curtains, and opens to a shared deck. The second room features a custom built-in bookcase and nook, and its muted rose-colored walls also play with the surrounding light, entering through a similar sliding door to the shared deck. Finally the bathroom is finished in floor to ceiling emerald colored tiles, terrazzo floors, and chrome fixtures. The property is surrounded by a serene gravel-covered garden, with bamboo, palo verde, bougainvillea and similar plants - all immersing the home in a serene poetic vibe.
