Featuring a 12 seat original bar decked in gold and red with shag carpet, an extra large pool 40 ft long, 10 ft deep, with large shallow area, beautiful large sunken living room with vaulted ceilings & fireplace surrounded by picture windows, original chef's kitchen with in island hibachi grill and commercial venting hood, a media room, multiple bathrooms including an original full bath with Ming Green American Standard tub/sink/toilet, a large "rumpus room" leading out to the pool with cork walls, MCM rugs and decor, fireplace, and UFO couch. Why is it called Mr.Lee's Party Palace? Way W. Lee (1924-2013) was a respected Portland builder who, despite facing discriminatory housing policies as an Asian man in 1950’s Portland, played a key role in shaping the Reed neighborhood and notable local landmarks like the Doug Fir and Jupiter Hotel. A Purple Heart veteran, Portland opera tenor, and legendary host, Way's personal home remains a testament to his spirit and love of bringing people together. We are honored to preserve and share this mid-century treasure with the community.
