About the Spare Room

The Spare Room is a modern 800-square-foot event space in Sacramento ideal for private dinners, pop-ups, workshops, tastings, networking events, and small celebrations. The flexible layout allows hosts to easily transform the space for different event styles. Tables and chairs are included and can be arranged to accommodate up to 48 seated guests or 50 standing guests. Perfect for: • Pop-up dinners • Chef tastings • Cooking classes • Workshops and trainings • Networking events • Private celebrations • Creative gatherings The Spare Room operates alongside an active shared commercial kitchen used by local food entrepreneurs. Because the kitchen supports ongoing production for members, full kitchen access is not always guaranteed and must be coordinated in advance, depending on kitchen member schedules. The Sacramento Health Department has also recognized our kitchen facility for award-winning cleanliness for eight consecutive years. Minimalist, adaptable, and easy to customize, The Spare Room provides a welcoming backdrop for memorable gatherings without the stress of traditional venue restrictions.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

To ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for every guest, The Spare Room undergoes a thorough cleaning and sanitization process after each booking: 1. Initial Inspection After a booking ends, our team performs a walkthrough to assess the space, identify any damages, and note special cleaning needs. 2. Surface Sanitization All high-touch surfaces—such as door handles, light switches, countertops, tables, and chairs—are disinfected using EPA-approved cleaning products. 3. Floor Care Floors are swept, vacuumed, and mopped with disinfectant to remove debris and maintain hygiene. 4. Kitchen & Equipment Cleaning If used, kitchen appliances, prep surfaces, and equipment are cleaned, degreased, and sanitized. All trash is removed and bins are relined. 5. Restroom Refresh Restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and restocked with toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels. Fixtures are disinfected and polished. 6. Ventilation & Airing Out The space is aired out between bookings to maintain fresh air circulation and eliminate lingering odors. 7. Final Touches We reset the space to its original layout, check lighting, restage any décor, and ensure it’s event-ready for the next guest. Our goal is to provide a spotless, safe, and comfortable space every time—whether you’re hosting a meeting, photoshoot, pop-up, or celebration.

Cancellation Policy

Standard 30 day

Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
