Swest Lodge Sauna Ice bath *** A more DETAILED LOOK at our OFFERINGS: Our home sits in a meadow in the middle of a quiet and peaceful valley surrounded by majestic redwoods. It is on a meandering country lane yet 5 driving minutes from downtown Fortuna. Inside there is a dedicated, super comfortable space for up to 10-15 people that is about "2-cars wide" and "4-cars deep". It is wonderful for small special gatherings, circles, events, wares, fairs, and meetings. The front room and dining room have ample and comfortable seating and tables for intimate parties and special occasions. It has perfect photo op backdrops for capturing Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthday, and other important-in-life memories. It is complete with electric fire place heater and big screen TV. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, a gas oven and stove top, a handy dishwasher as well as all kinds and sizes of bowls, utensils, and dish ware that blends in perfectly with the scenery. It also has a coffee maker, blender, toaster, crockpot, French press, and other handy kitchen helpers. The bathroom is roomy, light, and airy. The smaller guest room across the hall is perfect for setting up the massage chair or table, using for tarot readings, counseling, and/or just doing private computer work. The master bedroom has a Boudoir vibe, a hidden big screen TV, and is also the (indoor) entry way from the house to the deck with the conveniently plumbed and private claw foot bath tubs. Simply perfect for a memorable date night or Boudoir photo shoot. The rolled-down shades that make the deck private can be rolled up, the tubs can be readied to put ice in for cold drinks and dishes that need chilling...and voila, the outdoor party or reception can begin. We would love to negotiate special daily or weekly or monthly rates and time frames for special offerings, ie…the use of the gathering room for yoga 2-4 days a week, or the sharing of space with another person or persons for healing modalities (massage, Reike, counseling, etc.), farm to table soups, salads, cracker, and breadmakers uniting to share, trade, eat, and feed an evening a week or bi-monthly, ETC. You get the idea...the sky of creativity is the limit to how these spaces can be used. We are setting the prices in this PeerSpace app from suggested recommendations. It's just a starting point and we can converse, negotiate, and create fair financial exchanges and trades when as we learn what the specifics are . We would love to see small Christmas Arts and Crafts, Health and Wellness, and Teaching events where folks can share their talents, passions, renderings, and knowledge within a comfortable, pleasant, informal, and cheerful environment. *** OTHER STUFF you might like to know: We are new to Peerspace, and what that means is that we are in the heart of a learning curve and open to learning what the needs of our community, artists, teachers, and practitioners are, what works and what may not, what fees need to be charged and/or changed, and how to use this multi-functional venue for the good of the health, wealth, and whole of our extraordinary, unique, and beloved area. On a philosophical note we are big on sovereignty, self-expression, sharing, and peace. We believe those characteristics embody the foundations for freedom...our intent, is to expand our Freedom Foundation in all ways. This means we are enthused about growth, development, creation, expansion and working together to enrich each other in heart, soul, mind, and body…as a community. On a side note…it was not our initial intention or design to turn this house into a “PeerSpace” at all. However it has evolved into this concept by popular requests and suggestions. There are quite large and more professional facilities and venues to chose from here in Humboldt County, but very few homey, intimate, with tailored to fit fees. And since we have the place and we’ve learned that many need the space we are offering it up. Weekends can be booked for special events but that requires conversations and a two day minimum. We are absolutely committed to Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed in partnership with experts in health and hospitality. Plus we have added in extra precautions and safety measures - please keep in mine that we don't want this, or any, virus anymore than you do! Here is what we do between each and every guest, every single time: USE APPROVED PRODUCTS: We use disinfectants that are approved by global health agencies to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We basically and exclusively use Melalueca cleaning products - unless something else is necessary now and then. THOROUGHLY CLEAN: Each room is cleaned using extensive cleaning checklists EVERY SURFACE IS SANITIZED: All high-touch surfaces are sanitized, such as doorknobs, cabinets, remote controls, and light switches. USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: We wear protective equipment, like a mask and gloves, while cleaning. KEEP CLEANING SUPPLIES ON HAND: We provide extra cleaning supplies so that you can clean as you stay (they are in a basket in the kitchen cabinate to the left of the fridge. :-)
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price.
