Clyde's Dessert and Wine Bar – Post-Event Cleaning Checklist Time Allotment: 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the event and staff. Goal: Return the venue to its pristine, pre-event state, ready for regular business or the next rental. Phase 1: Immediate Post-Event (As Guests Depart) Security & Safety First: Designate one staff member to oversee guest departure. Politely remind the host that all personal items and decorations must be removed. Secure the cash register and any open alcohol. Phase 2: Clear & Clean (Systematic Workflow) Clear All Tables & Surfaces: Remove all glassware, dishes, cutlery, and napkins. Clear all condiments, candles, and decor (client's items to be set aside in a box; your items to be cleaned and stored). Sort for Dishwashing: Pre-rinse and stack dishes neatly for the dishwasher or hand-washing. Bar Breakdown: Secure all liquor bottles. Pour out any opened wine/beer that cannot be saved. Wash and polish all bar tools (shakers, jiggers, strainers). Wipe down and sanitize the entire bar top, sink, and ice well. Empty and sanitize drip trays. Kitchen/Prep Area Cleaning: Wash all remaining dessert preparation dishes, pans, and tools. Wipe down and sanitize all countertops, prep surfaces, and equipment fronts. Sweep the kitchen floor. Take out all kitchen trash and recycling to the main dumpster. Dining Area Detailed Cleaning: Wipe and Sanitize: Every table, chair (seat and back), booth, and high-top surface. Use appropriate cleaner for wood/fabric/vinyl. Vacuum & Spot Clean: Vacuum all carpeted areas thoroughly. For hard floors, sweep first, then mop with disinfectant. Check for Damage: While cleaning, note any new stains, scratches, or damage on furniture for the damage report. Phase 3: Final Touches & Reset Restroom Check & Clean: Restock toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Wipe down and sanitize all surfaces: mirrors, counters, sinks, toilet handles, and door knobs.
