The property is a beautiful original lodge to Birkenhead Park which has been recently refurbished to retain many of the original features. It is grade 2 listed and situated in a conservation area. The lodge is detached and has a gate leading directly into Birkenhead Park. The lodge was built in 1843-7 and is a beautifully designed stone building with multiple chimney stacks with cylindrical and diagonal flues. There is a large entrance hall with original tiles, mullioned windows, high ceilings with original decorative plasterwork. There is a large lounge with beautiful bay window, original fire place, high ceilings and original decorative plasterwork, and a large dining room with a large bay window, high ceilings and intricate rocco style original decorative plasterwork on the ceilings.
