The Jack Kerouac House of St. Petersburg

Besides being the last home of iconic American writer Jack Kerouac, the house is a lovely 3/3, mid-century home with a big porch and a large fenced backyard close to all the action in downtown St. Petersburg. The three bedrooms have a queen, a full, and a single bed, respectively. It is equipped with all the amenities you would expect at a vacation rental. There are two large living spaces, one (the Living Room) which is perfect for a seminar, meeting, or other small gatherings of 15 people or less, and a second room (the Family Room) that accommodates 30 seats in rows. We routinely host house concerts for up to 50 seated guests in the Family Room, which can be opened onto the large screened porch. Events that do not require seating for all guests can accommodate approximately 100 people. The Kerouac House is virtually unchanged in and out since 1963. Many of the furnishings and other items in the house belonged to the Kerouacs, so anyone staying there must behave accordingly; i.e., as if the chairs you are sitting on and the records you are playing are artifacts (which they are).
