Our light-filled crafting studio on Valencia Street in the heart of the Mission — part art studio, part clubhouse, built for anyone who wants to get their hands a little messy without owning a whole studio's worth of supplies. While we love messy thumbs, our studio is highly organized and japandi inspired. We've also taken a retail-esque approach to displaying our art supplies, to help spark that creative fire in you. Our mission is to help folks take better breaks during their work day. Working remotely can be isolating and also all consuming. We are set up for remote work, but make it easy for you to unplug and make something with your hands. We have two points of egress. We can accommodate larger groups (up to 60), but that will be for seating or standing only. Tables will need to be removed for any group over 30. ----- What is your space best used for? ----- Our studio was built for hands-on, low-stakes creativity, which makes it a natural fit for: Craft workshops & classes — clay work, block printing, gel plate printing, watercoloring, calligraphy, journaling, and other mixed-media guided sessions Private celebrations with a creative twist — crafternoons, birthdays, bachelorette/bridal parties, or community events. Corporate offsites & team-building — a change of pace from a conference room, with an activity built in Pop-ups & markets — We have around 2000 sq ft of space that can be configured for a pop-up or market Photo & video shoots — the space photographs well thanks to our minimalist decor, great natural light and a lovely view of our tree-lined sidewalk Coworking & small meetings — quiet daytime hours work well for laptop-friendly sessions ----- What is the layout of the space and how can different areas be used? ----- The studio is organized around a few flexible zones rather than fixed rooms, so renters can shape the space around their event: Main studio floor — anchored by our counter-height worktable (built for cutting and block printing), which double as communal seating for workshops, dinners, or craft stations. We also have two 8 ft long tables that can sit 16. A smaller round table that sits 4. Supply & how-to library area — shelving stocked with shared materials and reference guides; can be tucked away or featured as part of a workshop. Has a love seat and two arm-chairs. Retail and check-in area — We have a small retail area with a similar sized check-in area. Great to set up for any food stations, or additional seating.
