The Salon at The Gallery Rooms The Gallery Rooms is a European-inspired creative studio and intimate event space located in historic downtown Mooresville, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte and in the heart of the Lake Norman area. Designed to feel less like a traditional event venue and more like stepping into a collected European home, The Gallery Rooms offers a beautiful setting for smaller celebrations where atmosphere and experience matter. Original architectural character, exposed brick, beautiful natural light, antique and vintage-inspired furnishings, layered textiles, and thoughtfully styled details give the space warmth and personality before you bring in a single decoration. Whether you're hosting a bridal shower, baby shower, engagement celebration, cocktail gathering, workshop, private dinner, holiday gathering, or getting ready with your closest friends before your wedding, The Gallery Rooms offers an elevated alternative to a traditional event rental. The Gallery Rooms is home to four individually designed spaces: The Atelier, The Salon, The Conservatory, and The Parlor. Each room has its own personality and can be reserved individually or combined with additional rooms when your event requires more space. The Salon An elegant, European-inspired room designed for intimate celebrations, beautiful gatherings, and memorable moments. At approximately 321 square feet (14'5" × 22'3"), The Salon draws inspiration from the grand salons and drawing rooms of old European homes. Collected furnishings, layered textures, architectural character, and carefully selected details create the feeling of a finished interior rather than an empty event room. The room's 22-foot length provides flexibility for different layouts, allowing the space to transition from comfortable conversation and mingling to seated gatherings, workshops, showers, and other intimate events. The Salon is especially well suited for bridal showers, baby showers, engagement celebrations, wedding-day getting ready, small holiday gatherings, private dinners, afternoon teas, networking events, workshops, creative gatherings, client events, and other intimate celebrations. Its natural light and residential feel make it a beautiful choice for events where you want guests to feel comfortable and welcomed while still having a space that feels special enough for the occasion. And because The Gallery Rooms was created by a photographer, the room was designed with photographs in mind. Your event doesn't just have a beautiful place to happen. You also have a beautiful setting for the photographs you'll keep afterward. Seating + Event Setup The furnishings shown in the listing photos represent The Salon's standard setup. If your event requires additional chairs, tables, or a different room configuration, please contact us before booking with your expected guest count and what you have in mind. We may be able to accommodate additional furnishings or adjust the room depending on the needs of your gathering. Because every event is a little different, reaching out beforehand allows us to make sure The Salon is the right fit for what you're planning. Please note: The Gallery Rooms is designed for intimate gatherings, showers, celebrations, workshops, and creative events. Children's birthday parties are not permitted. Children are welcome as guests at appropriate events such as bridal showers, baby showers, family gatherings, and other celebrations. Need More Space? The Gallery Rooms includes three additional rooms beyond The Salon, and multiple rooms can be bundled together to give your event more space. Adding another room can be especially helpful if you'd like a separate area for a food table, gifts, activities, getting ready, photographs, quieter conversation, or simply additional room for guests to move comfortably throughout the event. For example, you may choose to use The Salon as the primary gathering space while reserving another room for a food table, portraits, or a secondary activity. Wedding + Elopement Day Getting Ready The Gallery Rooms is also a beautiful option for the getting-ready portion of your wedding or elopement day, especially if your venue, ceremony location, or elopement destination doesn't offer an aesthetic space for getting-ready photos. The Salon makes an excellent bridal suite, offering beautiful natural light, European-inspired interiors, comfortable seating, and plenty of character for hair and makeup, getting dressed, exchanging gifts, bridal portraits, detail photographs, and the candid moments with your closest friends and family before the ceremony. For couples who would like separate getting-ready spaces, The Parlor is a great option for a small groomsmen suite. Its moodier, library-inspired atmosphere provides a completely different look while keeping both sides of the wedding party conveniently located within The Gallery Rooms. You can reserve The Salon on its own or bundle The Salon and The Parlor to create separate bridal and groomsmen getting-ready spaces in the same location. Additional rooms can also be added if you need more space for your wedding party, belongings, a food table, or photography. It's an especially useful option for elopements, intimate weddings, outdoor ceremonies, backyard weddings, or venues without a dedicated getting-ready space, giving you a beautiful place to begin your wedding day and a thoughtfully designed backdrop for the photographs that happen before the ceremony. Make a Day of Downtown Mooresville One of the best parts of gathering at The Gallery Rooms is its convenient location in the heart of historic downtown Mooresville. Your celebration doesn't have to end when your reservation does. The Salon makes a beautiful starting point before heading out into town with your friends and family. The Gallery Rooms is located directly above On Tap and close to downtown dining establishments including Deep Well, Savannah Oyster Bar, and Epic Chophouse, along with an assortment of local bars, coffee shops, boutiques, gift stores, and other downtown businesses. Host a bridal shower in The Salon and head downstairs for drinks afterward. Gather here before walking to dinner. Start a girls' day with gifts and photos before exploring downtown together. Or use The Salon as the first stop of an engagement celebration, bridal weekend, or evening out with friends and family. The downtown location makes The Gallery Rooms especially well suited for bridal weekends, girls' days, engagement celebrations, wedding-day gatherings, showers, holiday outings, and other occasions where you want to make an entire afternoon or evening out of being together. Christmas at The Salon Our Christmas Collection has officially launched, and The Salon currently features thoughtfully styled seasonal décor, making it an especially beautiful setting for intimate holiday gatherings. The seasonal styling works beautifully for Christmas parties, holiday showers, end-of-year team celebrations, festive dinners, holiday workshops, and seasonal client events. We've intentionally kept the Christmas décor flexible so the room can still accommodate non-holiday events throughout the season. The Christmas tree is tucked into a corner, allowing it to become part of your event when you want a festive atmosphere while remaining relatively unobtrusive when you don't. The garland on the fireplace mantel can also be easily removed for events where you would prefer a more timeless, non-seasonal look.
