    About Cooper Regional History Museum

Historic Courtyard at the Cooper Regional History Museum Host your next gathering in a distinctive 1,600-square-foot historic outdoor venue at the Cooper Regional History Museum in downtown Upland. The museum’s landmark building at 217 E. A Street was constructed in 1937 as the headquarters of the Ontario-Cucamonga Fruit Exchange. Designed in the streamlined Art Moderne style, it once served as the citrus cooperative’s central business and administrative office during the height of the region’s agricultural boom. Today, its covered courtyard offers guests the rare opportunity to celebrate within a meaningful piece of local history—pairing authentic period character with practical modern amenities. This memorable setting is ideal for celebrations, performances, presentations, community events, and private gatherings, and comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests for seated table service or up to 150 guests in theater-style seating. Layout & Key Amenities • Built-in stage: A ready-made focal point for live performances, presentations, ceremonies, or keynote speakers. • Year-round comfort: A permanent overhead covering provides shade and shelter, while built-in fans and heaters help keep guests comfortable in every season. • Kitchenette access: An indoor kitchenette and refrigerator inside the museum are available for food preparation and storage. • Tech ready: Multiple electrical outlets are conveniently positioned throughout the courtyard. A small sound system is available for an additional fee. • Furniture included: Your rental includes ten 60-inch round tables, three 6-foot rectangular tables, 100 plastic folding chairs, and two 55-gallon trash cans. Logistics & Accessibility • Easy access: Two convenient entrances include direct access from the parking lot, helping simplify guest arrival and event load-in and load-out. • Free parking: A large city-owned parking lot is adjacent to the venue. Street parking is also available and is unrestricted on weekends and after 5 p.m. • Evening-ready lighting: Bright overhead lighting keeps the courtyard well illuminated after dark. • On-site security: A comprehensive security camera system monitors the property.
