Floating Farmhouse

A mix of modern architecture and old-world charm makes Floating Farmhouse, an 1820 Catskills manor home featured in Dwell magazine and Architectural Digest, an inspired destination. Perched at the edge of a pristine private creek and ancient dam of hand-laid stone, the home's grand spaces, dramatic details, and expansive aura are as enchanting as the landscape surrounding it. A cathedral-like kitchen features polished concrete floors, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a two-story wall of skyscraper glass framing views of the brook, gazebo, sweeping lawns, apple trees, and barn. French doors lead to a grand covered porch suspended over the water's edge, and the waterfall's cascading rhythms fill the cavernous great room and master suite. Original cast-iron beds and wavy glass windows adorn all sleeping quarters, and vintage farmhouse furnishings abound throughout. The classic 19th century Catskills barn on the property has been reimagined as a light-filled, minimalist space as well, featuring translucent panels of anodized aluminum, a soaring wall of zinc-coated steel, original woodwork and wavy-glass windows, and an enormous retractable wall opening the interior space onto the towering pines and private waterfront hugging the home and property. Just two hours from NYC, Floating Farmhouse is ideally suited and permitted for location shoots for up to 50 crew members. We have a wealth of location shoot and hosting experience and are happy to provide curated referrals for catering, equipment rental, local transportation, and nearby lodging. Former clients include Amazon, Kate Spade, Levi's, and Macy's. Clients are welcome to reside in Floating Farmhouse during the shoot for an additional fee. Personal chef, yoga, and massage therapy services are available on site as well.
