River Forest Mid-Century Modern Ranch (10 miles outside Downtown Chicago)

Our Mid-Century modern ranch house sits across the street from Thatcher Woods in River Forest. It was designed built in 1947 by a concrete contractor and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's apprentice. Since living here, my husband (who is also an architect) and I ( a designer) have renovated the home to bring it up to date..most noteworthy is our modern, sleek white open-concept kitchen. The entire south side of the home is made up of 7ftx5ft windows so as you can imagine, the natural light is incredible. Great for photography and filming. 12ft Ceilings are beamed and huge white stone fireplace adds a great cozy yet modern vibe to our ranch in the woods.
