All the necessary equipment to record or stream your audio & video is included including professional lighting. However, you are more than welcome to bring additional equipment. Have a remote guest? We’re also just one block away from the Glendale Train Station (Larry Zarian Transportation Center). It is clean, acoustically treated, and has professional lighting. Our podcast clients all have unique needs, and we are able to accommodate different scenarios: • Need 4 people in the room with audio only? No problem! • Need 3 people in the room and a remote guest? No problem! • Need to add video locally and/or have your remote guests on video? No problem! • Need to be able to see your remote guests and have them see you? No problem! • Have a live audience you want to be able to do Q & A with? No problem! Nearly anything is possible so long as we coordinate with you in advance. We want to ensure a smooth recording experience at Pro Audio LA. Upon arrival, one of our engineers will walk you through the setup that has been prepared specifically for you based on the information you provided. We do our best to avoid making any changes on the day of because this can be disruptive to the overall experience. We understand that things come up, however, so if you need to make a change request, please do so as promptly as possible and allow for additional setup time. We will always do our best to accommodate our clients. --------------------------------- Audio Only Podcasts: For audio only podcasts, we recommend you allow approximately 15 to 20 minutes upon arrival to be ready to record. Our engineers will walk you through the setup and answer any questions you may have. Once you are ready to go, we’ll hit record, and you will be left in privacy to record your podcast. If you need any help, an engineer is on site and just a quick call or text away. Note that for future bookings, you may only need 5 to 10 minutes to be ready to record. --------------------------------- Audio & Video Podcasts: For audio & video podcasts, we recommend you allow approximately 30 minutes upon arrival to be ready to record. If it’s your first time recording a podcast at Pro Audio LA, we recommend you allow for an additional 15 minutes. Our engineers will walk you through the setup and answer any questions you may have. Once you are ready to go, we’ll hit record, and you will be left in privacy to record your podcast. If you need any help, an engineer is on site and just a quick call or text away. Note that for future bookings, you may only need 10 to 15 minutes to be ready to record. Remember, nobody likes to feel rushed. We want you relaxed and ready to create amazing content. --------------------------------- Producer Viewing Room, Bathrooms, & Dining Area: Because you may have producers, crew, or guests that need a place to hang out during the podcast, we have a comfortable viewing lounge in the adjacent room. Your producers and guests will be able to watch and listen in comfort. If you have producers who need to communicate with the talent during recording, we can accommodate that as well (whether or not the producer is recorded is up to you). Finally, we have 2 bathrooms as well as a common dining area available for you. --------------------------------- The Equipment: Our Omnirax Podcasting table is height-adjustable and is fully-equipped with the following equipment: (4) Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K Cameras (1) ATEM Mini Extreme ISO Live Production Switcher (4) Yellowtec Microphone Arms (4) Shure SM7b Microphones (4) Cloudlifters for optimized audio (1) Rodecaster Pro 2 Podcast Production Console (4) Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro Headphones (1) Aputure 120d w/ Large Lantern Modifier --------------------------------- Audio Files: Isolated recordings of each microphone will be provided along with a stereo track of everything together. We have the following options for providing you with the audio files of your session: Bring a portable USB jump drive or portable hard drive, and we’ll copy the files over for you: • APFS Format (Mac) • exFAT Format (Windows and Mac) • You can also bring a blank drive, and we will format it for you We can send you a link via WeTransfer where you can download your files --------------------------------- Video Files: Isolated recordings of each camera will be provided. If any live camera switching was toggled by a guest or a producer during recording, we will also provide the “program mix.” We have the following options for providing you with the video files of your session: • Bring a blank compatible USB-C SSD Drive, and we’ll format it & record straight onto your drive • A Samsung T7 SSD Drive is recommended. 1 TB is likely sufficient, but we recommend 2 TB drives. • We can send you a link via WeTransfer where you can download your files • Extra charges may apply as transferring these large files is time consuming --------------------------------- The Neighborhood: We are located just around the corner from Atwater Village – a bustling, pedestrian-friendly area of Los Angeles that you must check out if you don’t know it. You will find an unlimited variety of coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, bars, and motels in the neighborhood.
