The plantation dates back to 1798 with two of the original stacked stone buildings in tact. The entrance to the property is through a Crape Myrtle lined drive which opens to an arboretum like setting boasting 100+ year old trees, English gardens, an historic 1913 homestead, two greenhouses, and Roman baths. There are eight different venue areas with outdoor lighting and electrical amenities, WiFi, bench seating, event folding chairs and tables, chandeliers, and more.

For the protection of all guests and staff, Clevedale administers temperature checks upon arrival and requires the wearing of masks inside in the common areas with the exception of eating and drinking. All rooms and common areas are cleaned and sanitized prior to arrival by DCS Cleaning Services using Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant Solution, an EPA Registered Broad-Spectrum Disinfectant against SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19).
