DAYGLOW STUDIOS / THE TAILOR STUDIO Located just 5 minutes from dtla, with easy ground floor access, central AC, minimal street noise, and the ABSOLUTE BEST NATURAL LIGHT IN LOS ANGELES. Dayglow's most versatile studio with two floors of shooting! Downstairs features our backdrop system allowing you to quickly swap between 3 hand painted canvas backdrops in seconds, or utilize the beautifully distressed textured concrete wall. Vintage furniture and a burlap wall also add to your shooting options. With huge 20X14 steel framed windows allowing light to pour onto all the beautiful textures our guests repeatedly tell us this is the best portrait studio they have ever shot in, and we agree. Upstairs sits the 15x9 L shaped Cyc wall where you can opt for natural light from the massive skylight, or black it out and use the mounted RGB sky panels. This is the perfect opposite to the rest of the studio giving you no texture and even more shooting options. The Tailor studio truly has it all. WINDOW LIGHT: -- Summer months the sun's path is further north, which gives a soft ambient light all day long with little variation throughout the day. -- Winter months the direct light shines far into the studio. 7:00 am - 11:00 am: direct light on the vintage tufted sofa and burlap wall 11:00 am - 2:00 pm: direct light on the floor 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm: direct light on the distressed concrete wall and canvas backdrops -- Fall & Spring months are a happy medium of the two above.
